A little over a year ago, my husband Jeff and I bought a little Victorian bungalow in the Hensley neighborhood, just to the north of downtown San Jose. It is teeny, with not enough closet space and drafty windows that rattle with the slightest breeze. But we love it and it's all ours!
Also ours is the sense of pride and responsibility that comes with becoming a part of a new neighborhood. We are not new to downtown San Jose though; it is our hometown and have always loved living here. We go out of our way to support local businesses and people that are doing great things for San Jose.
This blog is a place for me to share stories about discovering and rediscovering my hometown and neighborhood, our adventures as first time home owners, and a bit of randomness thrown in for good measure. I hope you'll follow along.
